This disk contains a backup of the last remaining copy of the Cray Operating System, the original operating system for the Cray-1 and Cray X-MP supercomputer line. The disk likely contains a binary image of COS 1.17 (the last revision of of the OS), as well as other unknown software, and initially belonged to a single-processor Cray X-MP machine. The disk was written in 1989. The machine's I/O Subsystem (IOS) would have likely booted from this disk, and then loaded the OS into main CPU memory....

The Microsoft C 5.5 compiler shipped with the SDK was a pre-release version of Microsoft C 5.1. The 1.02 SDK was shipped on 5.25" and 3.5" media. Microsoft C and MASM 5.1 March 1988 Microsoft C compiler and MASM macro assembler version 5.1, as delivered with the MS OS/2 SDK 1.03. This product is almost identical to the retail versions of Microsoft C and MASM 5.1, except that C and MASM were combined into a single installer and QuickC was removed. Shipped on both 5.25" and 3.5" media, suitable for DOS and OS/2 development.

Microsoft OS/2 SDK 1.01 August 1987 The Microsoft OS/2 SDK 1.01 was a minor update to the 1.00 SDK, adding the Program Selector task switcher interface. It was shipped as a single disk update to existing owners of the MS OS/2 SDK 1.00. It was also shipped as a full disk set to new customers, containing the 1.00 SDK with the Program disk updated to the 1.01 level. Just like the 1.00 SDK, the 1.01 SDK only supports PC/AT compatibles and was only shipped on 5.25" media.

This is a dump of Banyan VINES 5.0 from 5.25 media. It was successfully read with a SuperCard Pro; the IMG files were created from the SCP archives. The media was originally in a sealed package, and was unused when dumped. The media itself is not copy protected, however, VINES requires hardware dongles to be usable, so this set isn't complete "as is". Reverse engineering the dongle handshake is on my TODO list. Installation DVD for Mac OS X Snow Leopard. ISO for Boot Camp and DMG for installing on a Mac. Both files were created in Windows 10 and are untested because I only have two MacBooks and none of them work . It could be me being unlucky, but I know for a fact that both machines were bespoke toasters whenever I did something that the CPU had to work even the tiniest bit for.
